1. Who organises this conference?
The 4th Panhellenic Undergraduate Philosophy Conference is organised by an independent group of philosophy students. It marks the continuation of the a project that originates to Gavagai and its associates 2. Which is the primary goal of this conference? the conference’s aim is to provide undergraduate students the chance to participate in a diverse philosophical discourse. Given our interest in different philosophical domains, we encourage our participants to engage in philosophical dialogue among different branches of philosophy and schools of thought. We would also like to enhance it by including high school students and independent researchers in our sessions, thus broadening the areas of theoretical inquiry. 3. I would like to present a paper. What should I do? You should read the Call for Abstracts. 4. Abstract aside, should I also send you the complete essay? No. 5. Can I present an individual paper, as well as participate in a symposium? Yes, as long as the individual paper and the symposium differ in their respective topics. 6. Are there any constraints concerning the topics of the conference? Our participants are able to submit abstracts drawing from different philosophical domains of their own interest. Those include: Political Philosophy, Philosophy of Science, Epistemology, History of Philosophy etc. Abstracts that are in any way intersecting with philosophy are included (e.g. Art and philosophy, medical orientated or economics related topics alongside a philosophical inquiry). 7. Citations are confusing. Can you help me? Yes. Our suggested template for abstract submission | link 8. Are there any constraints concerning presentations? Format | 1-2 participants, reading a formal presentation of max. 30 minutes . Our suggested timeline consists of 20 minutes of reading the presentation and 10 of engaging in conversation with the audience. The abstract must consist of up to 400 words. 9. Can I submit two abstracts? No. However, you can apply for an individual or co-chaired presentation as well as a symposium. 10. Can a presentation be undertaken by 2, or more, people? Yes. Please note that the names of every participant should be indicated in the submission form. 11. How does peer-review actually work? Every abstract, depending on its content will be subjected to blind review by two appropriate members of the scientific committee. If the topic of an abstract does not correspond to the areas of competence of a member of the scientific committee, it will be forwarded to an external referee. |

13. What is a symposium? A symposium is a round table organised exclusively by students. At a minimum of three persons, a group of students can propose to present and discuss a specific subject using any way they deem appropriate. Whereas individual or co-chaired presentations are to be held in a 30 minute timetable, symposia will have at their disposal 2 hours. It should be noted that the group of students who is interested in organising a symposium should submit a general abstract of the topic to be discussed, as well as individual abstracts for each and every speaker. 14. Where will the conference be held? The 4th Panhellenic Undergraduate Philosophy Conference was held for the first time online, via Zoom. 15. If there an admission or registration fee? No. Admission and registration is free. 16. Is there an age limit? There is no age limit. 17. Will there be certificates of attendance available? No participation certificates will be provided. 18. Will there be a book of abstracts? Yes. There will be published online. Still, there is certainly a will to publish them in print. 19. How is the conference funded?
